Easter egg hunt at Great-Grandma's house

Thanks for all the comments left on my last post. I think Jeremy and I will come up with our own name for this little guy, thank you very much! :) (Rachel, you scare me!)

I finally downloaded a bunch of pictures to the computer tonight so I'll try to past at least one of them. Does anyone else in this world have dial-up or is it just us? Takes FOREVER and a day to upload pictures. (My dad has told me million times never to exaggerate)

Last Saturday my brother, Matt, and his family were here for the day. We had a great time catching up and of course Isaiah loved all the attention he got from his cousins. The guys hiked, the ladies shopped and the babies took naps, sort of.

We have been having cold, fall like, weather, but I'm very excited to announce that starting tomorrow it is supposed to be warm for at least the next four days! I'm so ready to be able to take Isaiah outside again. At least I think I am. For whatever reason he was not very content to play with his toys this morning so I finally bundled him up and let him play outside. Usually, he is not a child that eats things, but several times today I caught him with rocks and things I didn't recognize in his mouth. He's been burping a lot every since... I also looked out once to catch him sitting beside our shed with his legs down a groundhog hole. "George" lives under our shed and I guess the hole that he lives in looked very inviting. Thankfully George wasn't home or was too scared to do anything.

In other boring news, tonight I gave Isaiah a haircut. He's had several now. I used the clippers and it got much shorter than I wanted. The poor boy. I never knew 1 inch was so short. Oh well, at least it will grow.

On Tuesday Jeremy and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary. In some ways 3 years doesn't seem all that long ago and yet at the same time life before marriage seems like a lifetime ago. I'm so thankful for a Godly husband who is also my best friend. Marriage is work, for sure, but I love it!

I can't think of anything else to say so I guess I'll get off. Have a wonderful weekend!

Thank you for all your guesses! We're having a boy! I thought about not posting anything for a couple of days, but decided that would be just too mean. Plus I'm anxious to tell people. We're excited. I can hardly believe we're going to have two little guys running around! I keep thinking of all the stories Jeremy has of growing up with his brothers. They both thrill me and scare me. I hope I have energy to keep up! :)

What's your guess?

Wednesday morning I'm scheduled for "the big" ultrasound. We are planning on find out if this baby is a boy or a girl if they can tell us. What's your guess? We've all heard the, "you're having a ___ because you're carrying ___" comments. I can't say I believe them, but sometimes they hold true for whatever reasons. I'm curious as to what your guess is based on the following:

• I'm carrying low. This baby feels much lower than Isaiah, but maybe that has something to do with muscle. :(
• The baby's heart beat has been around 150
• I'm carrying "all out front" (I once saw a pregnant lady that carried "all to the left", she kept walking in circles! -that's a lie)

OK, now I want to know your guess. Even if you don't have a clue, just take a guess. You've got a 50/50 chance. There will be a great reward for the first person to guess correctly. (that's a lie)

Odds and Ends

• Thursday afternoon I was working in the kitchen when I heard a crash and then Isaiah start crying. The sight I found was the piano bench turned over, books falling out and Isaiah's little riding car pushed up against the piano. Isaiah wasn't under the piano bench, but he they must have come in contact at some point because his eye swelled up and got red. It's starting to look better.
• Last evening we had a great time with Jeremy's family. It was a last minute deal, but it was great to all be together again.
• This morning we went to my Grandma L. annual Easter brunch. What awesome food! After the brunch she had and Easter egg hunt for the kids. Isaiah didn't like the idea of putting the eggs in the basket so he tried to carry them all. After the hunt he sat in the middle of the kitchen and opened the eggs and ate everything he found -Graham cracker stix, mini marshmallows and Cheerios
• After the brunch we stopped by the library because I've been in the mood for a good book. I have a lot of things I could be doing instead of reading a novel, but I enjoy few things as much as sitting down with a good book. Especially on Easter weekend when there are snow flurries outside!
• The book I'm reading is the last book in the At Home in Mitford series. I think I've read all the other books in the series except for a few of the smaller "coffee table" type books. I'm curious, has anyone else read these books? What did you think? Please don't comment on how the series ends because I haven't finished the book yet!
• We had a great supper of shish kabobs (spelling???) on the grill for supper. they were great! Now we're just relaxing. I need to give Isaiah a bath, but I'm putting it off. :)
• Happy Easter!

First ice cream cone

In honor of his ice cream loving Grandpa's birthday Isaiah enjoyed his first ice cream cone. (not first taste of ice cream for sure!) He dropped the first one on the floor and bit the bottom out of the second one. I'm surprised we weren't thrown out of the restaurant for making such a mess!

Question

Here's a question for all you moms that have been pregnant more than once. Did you feel HUGE the second time you were pregnant? I know I wasn't this big at 20 weeks with Isaiah. I don't think I've gained much more weight than I did with him, but I'm definitely bigger. My cousin just gave birth to twin girls and she didn't know she was having twins! (how's she doing Michelle?) Ultrasounds have already confirmed that I'm having just one.

Hello from our house. The last few weeks have been very busy, but very good.

-Last Saturday morning we drove to Ephrata to have lunch with Jonathan and Lori and our niece, Lydia. Isaiah had a blast with all the new toys and trying to show Lydia where her eyes are. :( Lydia is such a cute baby! She gets us even more excited about our new baby on the way.

-Saturday afternoon I left Jeremy and Isaiah at Jonathan's and met Robyn for coffee. I don't think we'd seen each other since Jeremy and I's wedding day -almost 3 years ago!! It was soooooooo good to catch up with her again. A sign of a great friendship is when you can go for years without seeing each other and then be able to pick up right where you left off.

-After our time together Robyn and I met our husbands at an Impact North banquet in New Holland, PA. It was amazing to see so many people that I hadn't seen in years and years! People really do grow up and and get old! (myself included:)) My parents were down for the banquet too so that made it extra special.

-My parents were in our area for the next 5 days. It was a short visit, but we made the most of it. Isaiah loved all the attention. He especially feel in love with my dad. Isaiah and Grandpa spent hours playing outside. I think Isaiah is going through attention with drawl the last few days.

-Jeremy preached yesterday so Saturday I spent the day keeping Isaiah entertained. I do that every day I guess, but it was different to have Jeremy home, but not available. I'd rather entertain than spend a whole day preparing a sermon though so I won't complain.

-Early this morning I woke Isaiah up and took him to get his tongue clipped. For those of you that don't know, his tongue has been "tied" since birth. Basically, the little piece of skin that attaches your tongue to the bottom of your mouth stretched the whole length of his tongue. You can probably stick your tongue out, but Isaiah couldn't because his was "tied" down. It wasn't a major surgery, but I'm very glad it's done. The hardest part was when they gave him the gas to put him out. He really cried, but we had to just hold him down until he fell asleep. It only took about 30 seconds, but felt longer. I left him then and the next we saw him he was awake. We left the house soon after 7:00 and were home by 9:00. I expected to have a half sleeping baby all morning. Nope, he's as active and alive as ever. :) I do praise God that Isaiah is a very healthy little boy. It was hard enough to put him through this. I can't imagine what it would be like to have a child with a serious illness.

-I'm now in my 20th week of my pregnancy. I feel huge! I think Jeremy is getting concerned that he'll have to carry me around in a wheel barrel by the time August arrives. I don't think I've gained too much weight. I guess my muscles are just shot from having Isaiah. :( I'm having a good pregnancy so I'm thankful for that.

-Now that I've bored you all to tears I'd better get off. I'll try to post a picture or two.
