1. Where/How did you meet? Probably in 2000, but I’d heard of Jeremy before then. Jeremy says we met on Melanie’s couch. Doesn’t that sound nice?

2. How long have you known each other? See previous question.

3. How long after you met did you start dating? About 3 years

4. How long did you date before you were engaged? 7 months.

5. How long was your engagement? 7 ½ months. Would have been shorter, but I wanted an outdoor wedding.

6. How long have you been married? Next month it will be 3 years.

7. What is your anniversary? April 17.

8. How many people came to your wedding reception? Around 225

9. What kind of cake did you serve? White with raspberry filling. Our cake was perfect. We also had several sheet cakes. At least one of them was carrot.

10. Where was your wedding? Dance Pavilion in Mont Alto State Park, Chambersburg, PA.

11. What did you serve for your meal? I can’t remember it all, but I think we had 2 meats, 3 sides, rolls and punch –all for $7.40 a plate. I don’t remember eating much of it, but I do remember hearing that the food was very good.

12. How many people were in your bridal party? 8. Three bridesmaids and three groomsmen, and 2 flower girls

13. Are you still friends with them all? Yes!

14. Did your spouse cry during the ceremony? He doesn’t think so.

15. Most special moment of your wedding day? Driving away from the wedding with my husband. We made it!

16. Any funny moments? My Dad asked Jeremy if he was free from all other engagements -twice. I guess he just wanted to make sure :)

17. Any big disasters? No. There was a moment though when I was upset about something (minor –it was nerves and emotions). I still remember my dad and Jeremy both standing there looking at me not sure what to do with me. I don’t think either wanted to claim me at that moment. “She’s yours, no son, she’s yours now!”

18. Where did you go on your honeymoon? Gatlinburg, TN.

19. How long were you gone? 7 days. Wished we could have stayed another week

20. If you were to do your wedding over, what would you change? I don’t think I’d change anything other than the photographer.

21. What side of the bed do you sleep on? The right.

22. What size is your bed? Double. Someday we’d really like to upgrade. Especially when I’m pregnant!

23. Greatest strength as a couple? We were raised a lot alike and agree on the big issues.

24. Greatest challenge as a couple? Learning to speak the other’s love language, not just our own.

25. Who literally pays the bills? I usually do most of them, but Jeremy does take care of the mortgage.

26. What is your song? I guess we don’t really have a song, but we do enjoy listening to music together.

27. What did you dance your first dance to? Did not dance. That WOULD have been a disaster!

28. Describe your wedding dress: Simple, white, not much of a train. My favourite part were the sleeves that were just a little longer than the dress. I loved my dress, but it was lower that I would have liked. How in the world do you know what a dress will look like on you when you try on a size 12 and order a 4??!!

29. What kind of flowers did you have at your wedding? The bridesmaids carried baby’s breath. I carried roses and baby’s breath.

30. Are your wedding bands engraved? What do they say? Nope. Nothing.

No News

Well, I really don't have anything new or exciting to report, but I decided I should at least leave some kind of update, so here we go.

Life here is good. The last few days have been beautiful! Tuesday evening I packed us a picnic and as soon as Jeremy got home we piled in the car and went to the park for supper and a walk. It was wonderful! Tomorrow we are to get freezing rain and snow. Go figure.

I'm trying to get my house cleaned for my parents arrival on the 25th. I'm so excited to see them again even though it won't be real long. So often I see Isaiah do something and I just wish they could see it too.

Isaiah is doing well. I think he's enjoying the spring weather also. He loves playing on our back porch. We've been trying to teach him sign language for "please" and "more". He's finally getting it. The only problem now is having to tell him no when he very sweetly signs please for something he can't have. Does anyone have any books or suggestions on sign language for babies? I'd like to try to do more with this baby.

Three of our friends each had a baby girl last week. Welcome Ashria, Christiana, and Ellianna! I'm staring to think we'd better have a boy or Isaiah's not going to have anyone to play with!

Where are where are you spring?

I found this little king wondering through my kitchen the other day. the basket on his head is supposed to be sitting on his changing table holding his socks.

Once again I'm feeling guilty for reading everyone else's blogs, but never updating my own. So here I am.

I had heard a weather report somewhere that today was going to be nice so I decided to take Isaiah and go grocery shopping. The weather man must have been high or something because I nearly froze. Isaiah must have been feeling it also because once we got into the store he realized that his loving mother had worn her gloves, but neglegted to put her sons mittens on him. once he realized this he took my gloves and wore them through most of the store. People must have thought the poor child had deformed hands or something.

What makes a day like today so hard is that last Friday and Saturday were beautiful! The sun was shinning the snow was melting the mud was growing, the birds were singing, I was moved! I'm not sure why I'm so anxious for spring this year. (I think I say that every year) Maybe it's because I'm so ready to be outside with Isaiah again. I am very thankful for our back porch. I let Isaiah play out there on Friday while I was working. He thought he was in heaven. I was working in the kitchen while he played on the porch. I just couldn't help but feel happy and bright just thinking how nice he was playing and how much work I was getting done. Soon after that nice thought I turned to check on him and discovered that he had climbed onto the bench next to the table we keep on the porch and was sitting there smiling at his accomplishment. He's into climbing in a big way. Last night he somehow climbed out of his hair chair. We weren't in the room so we don't know how he did it. Jeremy found him standing beside the chair. Then later in the evening he climbed out of his exersaucer. what a boy!

In other exciting news, Brandon and Cindy just found out that they are having a little girl. I was hoping they'd have a girl. The babies heartbeat was in the 130's. I guess that blows the theory of low heartbeat means boy! Our ultrasound is scheduled for April 11.

We'll, I've run out of boring things to tell you so I'd better get off.

French Onion Soup

Here's the recipe -finally! :)

4 c. sliced onions
1/4 c. margarine or butter
1/4 c. flour
6 c. water
1/4 c. beef bouillon granules
6 slices French bread, cubed
1 c. grated mozzarella cheese

In a large saucepan saute onions in butter. Cook over low heat until onions are tender, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle with flour and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.

Add water and beef bouillon. Heat until boiling. Cover and simmer 20 minutes.

Ladle soup into oven proof bowls and top with French bread. Top with grated cheese and place under broiler until cheese melts and is bubble. Serve immediately.

Note: If you don't have beef bouillon granules, you can use beef broth -half broth and half water.

Cousins

Delton and Charity came to visit us this evening. (thanks!) We had a really nice visit and Isaiah and his second cousin Ezra got to know each other a little better.
